Started sending kids to school with lunch

Back to school and time to start packing lunches again. Now the city I live in give free lunches to all. But I saw the lunches they were fed this past summer and it was nasty. My kids would eat the bread milk and cheese stick( if they were lucky enough ringer one) the rest would go in the trash. So this year I decided to send my kids to school with lunches.

Each day I write the menu on the white board and each kid has their own that they write what they want from the menu. The kids pick 1 item from each category. Bread/protein, drink, fruit/veggies, dairy, snack . I pre-make a lot of the items and use those little containers to put servings of ranch or peanut butter for veggies; so the kids can easily help me gather items to pack faster.
