FREE THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK

* Home Depot: on Saturday (6/18) from 9 am to noon, visit your local Home Depot to build a Lil Toolbox. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin.

* Lakeshore Learning Store: on Saturday (6/18), from 11 am – 3 pm, visit Lakeshore Learning Center to create a free Father’s Day Wallet.

* Michaels: visit Michaels on Friday (6/17) between 6 pm and 8 pm to create a Father’s Day Card Event Free Make-It Take-It. Visit Saturday (6/18) between 10 am and 2 pm for a Father’s Day Key Chain Event Free Make-It Take-It.

* AC Moore: visit Saturday (6/18) between 1 and 3 pm for a Hands On Demonstration – My Friendship Bracelet Maker. Visit Wednesday (6/22) between 3 pm and 5 pm for Free Make & Takes – Panini Cars 2 Sticker Books Trading Day.

* Archiver’s: visit Archiver’s on Friday or Saturday nights from 5-11 pm for six undisturbed hours of scrapbooking and socializing. Just pay a $5 reservation fee to save your spot. Then when you arrive, you’ll receive a $5 merchandise voucher to use that night.

* Disney Store: visit the Disney Store on Saturday (6/18) to celebrate the release of Cars 2 – City of Lights, City of Speed. Race 1 begins at 10:30 am, Race 2 at 12 noon and Race 3 at 1:30 pm.

* Borders: visit Borders on Saturday (6/18) at 2 pm for Disney/Pixar Cars 2 release party. Games, Stories and more. Kids 14 and under must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

* Bass Pro: visit Bass Pro on Saturday (6/4- 7/10) for Family Summer Camp 2011. Enjoy FREE crafts on Saturdays and Sundays between 2 pm and 5 pm. This Saturday, you can create a Leather Keychain. Other activities include: workshops and activities on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 pm.

* Pottery Barn: visit Saturday (6/18) for Father’s Day LEGOS DUPLO JAMS. Come out and play with DUPLO bricks, dance to music, and take home a special gift.

* National Parks: Visit your local national park this Tuesday (6/21) for FREE during the fee-free First Day of Summer.

* Target: Check for FREE museum events in a city near you

* Walmart: there are several in-store events this weekend. Check your local store for hours and participation
